News …the latest developments in Natural Connections Natural Connections 2007/08 Level 2 Programme April 07 - March 08 The Natural Connections Programme is for 12-16 yrs old who are interested in the outdoors and haning fun. We meet at the Outdoor Education Centre at Lochore meadows Country park from 10am - 4pm one Saturday every month, with extra dates in the school holidays. For more information click here Completion of the Award in Fife 2006/2007 Cowdenbeath Primary School - Group 8 Travel Grant for Natural Connections in Fife. Scottish Natural Heritage has kindly provided a travel and registration fee grant for Natural Connections. Schools and community groups in Social Inclusion Areas are the main target, but the grant is open to everyone. The travel grant can only be issued to schools or groups registered with Natural Connections who wish to travel within Fife. This has currently run out for this financial year. Completion of the Award in Fife 2005 During the 2005 summer term, 200 pupils from six classes completed the Natural Connections Award. These were:
NEW Teacher's Pack for Fife Schools A new teacher's pack has been produced in Fife for schools to start their finding your way element of their Natural Connections programme. The pack contains 7 exercises, which start in the classroom and progress out into the school grounds. It provides an introduction to finding
your way and gives each participant 2.5 hours towards this element. If you would like a copy then contact the Natural Connections Co-ordinator on 01592 412013. RSPB Vane Farm Nature Reserve, Kinross Why not visit Vane Farm as part of your Natural Connections programme? We have new topics this year, all with an integral Discovering nature theme. Included are environmental games and ‘hands on’ activities, taking place on our beautiful nature reserve beside Loch Leven.
